Starting ‘Em Young

At the start of the New Year we began thinking of some of the typical New Year’s resolutions that people try to set for themselves. Many people choose to go the self-help route by starting diets, or going to the gym. Others vow to do charity work or help others out. This questions was posted on the Sprig Toys facebook page earlier this month to see what some of the Sprig Toys facebook page fans had in mind for their eco-friendly specific resolutions. One of the responses from Julia Smith was inspiring. She shared that her family had already started cloth diapering and they were going “to continue being ‘green’ “. If her children continue on the eco-conscious path that Julia has started them on, they will literally be “green” from birth! This is a great way to start incorporating this lifestyle in children early on. Instead of becoming a burden, things like recycling become second nature. When I was growing up we always had a recycle bin next to the trash and if my mom saw us throw anything into the trash when it was recyclable, we had to go fish it out and put it in the correct bin. Now, recycling isn’t something I even have to think about! Please leave us your comments on the blog, Facebook it on the Sprig Toys fan page, or tweet it @SprigToys.

Stay tuned for our next post where pre-school kids test out Sprig and tell us what’s on their mind!
